|
Eyelid surgery is recommended for those who have a problem of excess
skin and fatty tissue around eyes or would like to have double eyelids.
Eyelid surgery will improve drooping upper eyelids and puffy bags below
eyes.

How long should I stay in Malaysia for Eyelid surgery?
|
A patient should stay in Malaysia at least 10 days to complete a whole
process. On an arrival day in Malaysia, a patient should stay in a
hotel to relax from a long flight and have a surgery on the following
day. Eyelid surgery will be done on out-patient basis which means a
patient does not need to stay over night at the hospital. Post
operative check up and stitches removal will be done 7 days after the
surgery.

How is surgery performed?
|
Eyelid surgery will be done under local anesthesia and take
Approximately 1-2 hours. The upper eyelid incision is made in the
natural skin fold while lower eyelid incision is made beneath the lower
lash line. The surgeon removes the excess skin and fatty tissue and
trims the sagging skin.

What is the post-surgical care?
|
After an eyelid surgery, a patient will have to use cold compress for 2
days to reduce swelling and bruising. Bruising varies from person to
person but typically lasts from 2 weeks to a month.

How will the scar looks?
|
The scars will be in the fold line and fade within 6 months or more, nearly invisible white line.

What are the possible risks and complications?
|
The possible main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection,
scarring and numbness, or change in sensation. Following the surgeons
advice will reduce risks and complications.
